I know some of us have been complaining lately about how Dara has been styled. While I too would love it very much if Dara’s “goddessness” would be brought out a lot, I also welcome the times when she dresses quirky and when her hair is funky. We all know by now that Dara is not a one trick pony. She likes to explore and be diverse with her style. She is adventurous and is willing to try almost anything new (she shaved half of her head!). Dara doesn’t just opt to always look pretty or sexy or beautiful. Instead, she plays around with her style and she likes to go all weird. That is part of what makes her Dara. She is “Krung Krung”. She likes it. It makes her happy. Although I do cringe at some of her/stylist’s choices, I respect the fact that Dara is willing to try it. She doesn’t go for the predictable or the boring. Her craziness (personality and fashion) is what makes her, her. She is quirky, funny, brave, weird, 4-dimensional. That’s why we love her. She keeps us guessing. She is intriguing. While most of us would want her to always look as beautiful as she can be, we must also learn to respect the fact that Dara likes to try new things. We might not like some of her choices, but let us respect the fact that she is brave enough to try. So, let us appreciate. Of course we can leave our opinions about her outfit or hair but let us all remember that what Dara wears or tries out does not define who she is. 🙂 /90-degree bow

yeah! preach admin. That is what I have been preaching forever, you can critic but, we’re a fans of her. You can’t love it? well that’s Dara, her fashion is the mirror of her personality.
Yeah I totally agree with u admins!! She is naturally pretty and as long as she like what she is doing and doesn’t mind at all why don’t we support and respect her instead of complaining!!
Make up, hairstyle, clothes, etc. are visual props used to compliment a song’s genre and theme in its performance. You know the stylist got it right when the approach used is similar to what a costume designer does in a visual medium like TV or the movies. But what we’ve been seeing are the girls dressed in sometimes unflattering styles but in different designer labels. It’s beginning to look like publicity for fashion brands.

VERY WELL SAID, Oh-Dara!!! As a Daraling we must RESPECT Dara’s decision to have this crazy and weird and yet unique hair/style. Eventhough the stylist made this decision for her to wear this weird styles at the end of the day it will ALWAYS BE DARA’S CHOICES TO WEAR THIS KINDS OF OUTFITS OR HAIRSTYLES. We may not appreciate her choices but we must learn to respect it. Dara is known to have weird and unique styles and that is what made her Dara of 2NE1. Dara said wearing this baggy and loose clothes that is bigger than her made her more confident when she’s performing so who am I to complain if she’s more comfortable that way and see her enjoy and brings us a charismatic and yet fun and enjoyable performance. As much as I love Dara to look like a Goddess in every performance I still want Dara who always surprises us with her freakishly weird and yet unique styles plus her 4D personality. I DO NOT want Dara as another cookie-cutter barbie doll who always stays the same way. I want her to try new things even if she looks weird in it because I know she will always brings it and made her still look PRETTY and made it work for her. I maybe bias but I know ONLY DARA can pulled this all crazy hairstyles and outfits and yet still look pretty. Dara already heard our plea to look like a GODDESS in FALLING IN LOVE promo so I cannot wait in what she will bring us new how much its weird and out of this world styles I will always love her uniqueness and I will always anticipate it. I am actually guilty of wanting to fire Dara’s stylists and I am not sorry to feel that way. It is one thing to let her have outrageous outfits, but what irks me the most is they hardly gave her any moments where her hair, makeup and outfits all looks good on her. That really piss me off big time. It hurt me as a fan to see my bias in mediocre outfits and drab makeup when I know that her makeup artist and stylist can do better. I am seriously aghast at how they do her makeup now a days. Case in point is their come back performance from Music Bank. Her face is basically the color of silver. I’d rather see her not put any makeup rather than see her again with that same makeup. And about her outfits, I know she get some weird outfits and I accept that, but can’t her stylist can do a bit trimming? There are times that her outfits looks big on her. Why not make it to a size that actually fits her? I’m sure it can be done. The hair is a touchy subject because she’s known for her weird hair style. The palm tree and the vegeta hair is crazy and weird, but her hair in music bank is just plain mess. It didn’t do anything for her. It was not weird or crazy, but just one big pile of mess. I’m sorry for my rant, but I’m just so frustrated in seeing her beauty getting toned down and I honestly don’t know why they do it. I’m not asking her to look like a princess all the time… I just want her stylist to at least do a decent job on her because let’s admit it… you or someone you know can do a better job than what her stylist is doing to her right now.
Well said.^^ I guess I’m in the minority here when I say I prefer quirky/weird Dara. She just pulls off everything so well! But I think Dara has shown a feminine/ladylike side to her many times as well. As cheesy as it is, what matters most is the beauty inside of her and there will always be people coming to judge a pretty woman, so let’s ignore the hatred (esp from anti’s).

Hi, i dont always comment here..but i everyday check this site because i am a daraling,i know all of us love dara i understand if sometimes we rant about dara’s hair and styles..but we can’t do something about it..thats dara we’re talking about here she’s like that ever since she become 2ne1..she like to explore her styles she’s not the typical girl who always go for simple style or “always be beautiful style”,we daralings should know that,we love her just the way she is right..so let’s just support her,i myself love dara because of her personality,she inspires me…she may have the ugliest style or out of this world hair style but her beauty will shine for us daralings because her beauty comes from within..

Thank you admin, this really calmed me down. I wanna confess right now. I was one of those who got disappointed because of Dara’s hairstyle/outfit. I’ve been looking forward to their performance mainly because of dara. I thought she’ll remain the look in FIL so when I saw her looks in DYLM, I was soooo disappointed. I was blaming everybody that made her look like that.. I didn’t even wanna watch the performance anymore..I was thinking, i love the song but i don’t like what they did to dara so I couldn’t enjoy the performance..I’m sorry.. It’s because I love her and I always want the best for her. I want her to look beautiful to everybody..I’m tired of reading bad comments about her looks..I don’t wanna care about it, but truth is, I DO..
However, I just remember, not too long ago..Dara thanked her fans for loving her for who she is..Now I feel guilty for everything that i’ve said and thought. I realized it’s not only her looks that made me love her, but HER..SANDARA PARK who is cute, funny,adorable, lovable, unique, loyal, and most especially treats her fans as her friends..I LOVE YOU DARA Forever..

Thank you admin for your beautiful intro . I admit…I am one of those Daralings who rants in twitter whenever the stylist will give Dara those fugly clothes and weird hairstyles. I guess, I just felt that they are being unfair to Dara especially when the other girls are looking fabulous and there goes Dara looking so out of place. I am also bother that this may affect her endorsement since she’s a beauty icon.
But then again, Dara is part of 2ne1, the most unique and most unconventional girlgroup in KPop. And 2ne1 will never be the same without Dara’s out of this world hairstyles. People are always looking forward to Dara’s new hairstyle in every 2ne1 comeback. I salute Dara for being brave and adventurous when it comes to trying out new things for the sake of 2ne1’s new concept.

I know its her and not the stylist. She chooses to look beautiful, weird, quirky, sexy, alienish and there are so many more creative ways she will be shocking us in the future. Dara is truly one of a kind! Noone could do the things she does and get away with it. That is one of the thousands of reasons why we love her!
