The American students of Harvard University who went to hear the speech of famous singer Psy cheered out loud as the singer mentions about girl group 2NE1 who is under the same agency as him.
On the 9th of May, PSY opened his speech at Harvard University Memorial Church with a brief explanation on how his hit song “Gangnam Style” was uploaded on Youtube. PSY said, “Our company has 2NE1,” making the audience cheer out loud which surprised Psy.
He added, “Looking at now (by how the audience reacted), 2NE1 really has a lot of international fans. That is the reason why the artists from our agency releases their music videos on Youtube which can also be seen by foreign fans. Until now, it’s still like that so Gangnam Style was released online as well.”

Psy did mention 2NE1in passing …in the context that he was told that 2NE1 was uploading on YT as well as other YG artists but the cheers were for Big Bang who was mentioned first to drive a point.It was easy to miss out hearing 2NE1’s name as ,by this time in his story, it was drowned by the laughter of the amused audience. Psy gave an interesting talk with a lot of wit and humor,which,judging by the news articles, impressed many.
Yeah psy said a boyband called bigbang and a girl group called 2ne1 (the 2ne1 part wasnt so clear because of the noise but he mentioned 2ne1 too)

Psy, being male, mentioned Big Bang (composed of males) to effectively point out an analogy.
Actually I think he said Bigbang, not 2NE1.

That may be so but news articles have been printed saying that PSY mentioned 2ne1 hence the translated news article. ^^ Hopefully it will be confirmed soon.
I missed this one…Daebak if he did. I know Psy mentioned Big Bang, though( watching a YT video) which elicited loud cheers from the audience!
