Had this post in my mind when I went to a ASoIF forum and read an entry on Syrio Forel teaching Arya Stark the importance of “seeing” rather than just “looking” in the martial art of “water dancing”. Thus, I went to “see” this post again.
What did I “see”? IMO Dara is teaching us an important lesson on PERCEPTION. She is “suggesting” that Thunder is not a “mess”, could he be in a photo shoot, etc. But the picture with a blanket haphazardly strewed on the couch, Thunder with unwashed make- up on his face, etc. suggest otherwise. He is a “mess” it’s just that it is NOT the way he “looks” to her. Her love for her brother filters the way she “sees” him.
Taking this to the extreme is the adage “Love is blind.” Hahaha (Does not apply in this situation, of course, as Thunder is such a lovable, and responsible brother!) Dara is indeed a very deep person, people who say otherwise don’t just get it. 🙂
Well said, and I am totally agree with your statment^_^ She is a very remarkable woman if i may say..have been 2NE1 loyal blackjack since their debut (2009),a truly superwoman this beautiful lady,our loveable noona.. her love for her family (Mom, cheondoong/Thunder and sister Durami) is unconditional <3<3<3..I am a loyal fans of Big Bang first actually, a VIP since 2007. We, fans from back then..very proud of these two groups achievement..sooo very proud with what they have become as a group as well as an individual..well known all over the world!!!! This is the positive side of fandom but there is its negative side, too. When that same “filter” is not love anymore but pride, selfishness, hatred, etc. Then we get to “see” only what we want to “see”.
