Dara’s Highest Make Up Point: Eye Line

2NE1 is a girl group, but we have a strong and cool image. Rather than cute costumes, we try out a lot of other different, great things too; of the members, I’m the one in charge of looking the best in boys clothing. But I’m a woman too Ha ha So sexy, feminine make-up is a plus.

Make a line at the upper eye lid, and extend it outside your eye line, like cat eyes. Because of the eye line, the impression of my face greatly changes, and thus I become 2NE1’s DARA, showing an intense and sexy look.

Aside from make-up, skin care is also very important. I am especially careful with moisturizing. I choose products that have collagen ingredients, and I put on moisturizing cream everyday. Of course, cleansing is also very important, especially if you leave make up on for a long time, it’s important to wash it off well.

Because of this, there are people who comment positively about me having pretty skin. So I don’t put much foundation, and put on make-up lightly. Because 2NE1’s eye line and eye make-up is strong, the lips should have a more natural color.

The cosmetic products that I regularly use are from ETUDE HOUSE. Ever since our debut, it’s been my favorite brand, and I specially like their BB Cream and cheek make-up products. I use these products even in everyday life.

I learned that recently, women in Japan are interested in our recommendations for make-up as well. It would be good to show it, but it’s going to be better if you try it out for yourselves.

Q. Impression for this photoshoot?
A. Because I was the only person to be featured, I was a bit nervous today. I was excited to do the casual, everyday clothes shoots. I selected and brought my own clothes today for it Ha ha I chose this knitted sweater because I think it’s feminine! Its cool colors and patterns is something that expresses me.

Q. Your private (T/N: everyday, casual) make-up?
A. I go for natural make-up. I even think that going without make-up and with just bare face is already fine, but I have to remember that I’m an artist. Ha ha When I have to go out, I just put on some lip and cheek color.

Q. DARA’s role in 2NE1?
A. I’m in charge of all the members’ daily schedule. It’s not only 2NE’s official schedules, but I manage the personal work schedules of all the members also. I tell them, “Today, you have to do this at this time!” I think that my existence is like that of a mother to the other members.

Q. DARA, please tell us about each members’ characters respectively.
A. Leader CL is the woman who is really good in cooking. She also has a lot of charisma, but is also very cute I think. It’s very healthy to be with BOM! When I’m with her, our laughter is really non-stop. Our youngest MINZY is also very good in cooking. She cooks miso soup very well. She always does deliciious home-cooked meals.

Q. 2NE1’s goals in your Japan activities?
A. We want people to know 2NE1’s music more! It would be great to see you live, and become face-to-face with our music. Personally… I want to try challenge myself in acting. But my Japanese! I’m going to study more because I want to do well!
