i like their performance more last week, but the set last sunday was really – wow! YG has the best sets (maybe that’s why they have less performances than the other companies, each are really special and sure looks expensive!)

I posted a comment ago a few hours ago, but for some reason, it didn’t show up. Anyway, this is my first comment here ever (technically, the second one, haha) and it’s for two reasons. One, because the stage is awesome and Dara looked really, really pretty and did so great on her parts! I can’t actually say that I’m a huge Dara fan like most, if not all, of you here, but I gotta admit that I have a soft spot for her. 🙂 So yey Dara!
Secondly, (and please try to keep an open mind when you read this), it kind of bothers me to read so many comments from people who are so caught up in counting the lines Dara gets to sing. It Hurts is a great song, and it’s a shame that some people can’t appreciate it for the wonderful piece of music that it is just because their biases are preventing them from doing so.
If you really wanna count singing lines, you’ll find that there isn’t really that much of a difference. Dara gets to sing 8 line, CL has 12 (13, if you count ‘apa, apa’ at the end), Minzy has 11, and Bom has 14. If you think about it, she has fewer lines in Go Away compared to this. Besides, Dara gets to shine in other things they do. In the album alone, there are two songs that showcase her voice.
We all know Dara is a good singer, but we also know that her voice is not as strong or as powerful as the other three. Obviously, there are instances when she won’t be able to sing in a manner that comes naturally to the other three. In the case of It Hurts, it’s not about the composers or YG not believing she can handle the song, but rather it’s a matter of who’s a more perfect fit for the song. Take Love is Ouch, for example. Dara owns that song because her voice is perfect for it. On the other hand, you can barely hear Minzy’s deep voice in there because it doesn’t really suit the song.
Dara is Dara. Her talent, character, and beauty will not be diminished or defined by the number of lines she gets to sing. Peace! Sorry for the essay, and I hope I didn’t offend anyone. 🙂

Each 2ne1 has it’s own piece, just as what you guys saw in 2ne1tv with DJ Poet asking CL who’s “to-do” the high pitch part.
Yeah I do agree with you. But I am not hurt because she gets the least part in this song, but it is because she get the least in the album in general as well. So if YG continues to produce tracks that doesn’t suit Dara’s voice then she is bound to be sidelined again in their future endeavors. That’s what is bothering me so much, since her voice is sweet and refreshing and as I see 2ne1 will be far from producing more tracks that will lean on sweet and refreshing one. Also, yes you are right our biases will get in the way and you can’t take that away from us because as we have seen in their 17 months of existence Dara always gets the least part.
What I am pointing at is if she will not be given a chance to shine her voice then there’s no point in staying in 2ne1. I like to think that this will change soon but watching 2ne1TV season 2, I doubt it, I think their international or even japanese album will be another CL feat BOM, MINZY and DARA (yes in that order).
Dara’s dream is to be a singer and she will not grow as an legit artist if she always gets the shortest stick. Yes, as you’ve said, Dara is Dara. Her talent, character, and beauty will not be diminished or defined by the number of lines she gets to sing. But then again if it will be the same in the future then I personally feel that she should stick to acting then.

I totally agree in all that you’ve said. plus, to make it easier to explain, this is a DARA BIASED SITE. people will definitely nit-pick everything that Dara is in. We would definitely see if Dara is getting her fair amount of lines or not, or if she gets to be showcased enough in the songs. And as the majority have seen, it does appear that she ain’t getting enough. Some of us will say that it’s okay, Dara is Dara but you cannot take the right for her true fans to feel hurt every time their bias gets sidelined. We were hoping to let out our frustrations on this site because we can see other people sharing the same opinion.

This is my first comment here ever, and I’m doing it because I wanna commend Dara and 2NE1 for a great performance. I can’t say Dara is my bias, but I admit that I have a soft spot for her. Everyone is complaining why Dara gets the least singing line. Don’t get me wrong I am also mad at YG because of that. However, if most people noticed it then Dara must be doing something right, cause she gets noticed by everyone. They could have praised other members performance but no because Dara is improving and she deserves more line.

I do not like that skirt though. The two tones – different colors of the blouse and the skirt cuts her torso and does not lengthen her to give her a nice silhouette. I think she should have worn that “I need a Girl” dress – or something similar – that suits her better.
