2NE1 came back with their 1st Album and it is immediately sold out.
Even before, their debut has been a hot topic for throwing challenges at the song fields, different from other girl groups. And they have been loved by women. What is the reason why they are loved?
2NE1 walks on a road different from your typical beautiful, sexy, lovely groups. But they show off a different meaning of beautiful on stage when they are at it. They are not lovely on stage rather, it is powerful like a ‘male idol group’ and strong.

I am a working girl and i love korean pop but 2ne1 (BB too) is just exceptional..they’re the best amongst the rest in their generation. Many korean boybands, singers come and go here in the Philippines and i can afford to spend my hard earned salary to buy a concert tickets to see them. But no, i rather save and spend a front row tickets to only 2ne1and BB!

I so totally agree with the article, their the ONLY girl group who has that strong hot/fierce image while performing on stage like a “male idol” group yet they can be feminine in their own way. That’s the first thing I’ve notice about them when they debuted last year aside from having a great songs and a good vocals.
Then when I started watching 2NE1TV a year ago, these girls got nothing to hide. You would see their other personality off the stage. Their also like us, their not afraid to show their real self on TV, with or without make-up, what you see is what you get. Like during their recent guesting in Win Win, they talk about everything, especially our Dara’s personality, how she prefer to text message than talk in the phone since she’s a shy person & feels awkward, how sensitive she become if you don’t reply to her messages or answer her calls he-he…She’s so real and honest in showing her true colors, that’s one thing I love about Dara Park. Her sweet charm and down to earth personality (updating us fans with her me2day) is the other reason why she’s so popular and very much loved by us. ^_^

She is really a beautiful inside and out that is why I like and luv her. The first tym i saw her, during the audition of SCQ. I said to myself this girl is very kind and real.

It was during the Ondoy when i found out in 2009 that she is one of the members of 2ne1. I like the fire song but i never knew that she is one of the members of 2ne1. But when I heard in the radio the song I dont care i heard the similarities in Sandara Park Voice. Then after the Ondoy, Iwas able to surf in the net about 2ne1. From then on I started following them.

I love 2ne1 because their songs and swagger give me a sense of female empowerment. On-stage they are fierce bitchez oozing charisma, and off-stage they’re down to earth bitchez I’d love to hang out with.
I’ve loved and still love other girl groups, but none of their songs have ever gave me a boost of girl power. Most of my other faves make me feel like a sleazy old guy instead of a strong independent female.
To me it’s like the difference between liking Beyonce and Britney Spears. Britney is cute and I worshipped the ground she walked on during her prime, but she’s nothing but a crazy fluff when she’s older. Still love her, but Beyonce is in a league of her own. Bitch has a fierce personality on-stage and so real off-stage. And I’ll always love Britney’s catchy songs, but only Beyonce has delivered Put A Ring On It and no one can ever be ready for that jelly. ♥

i feel you, my friend..i like how you deliver your thoughts..me watching 2ne1 girls are like watching “real” artists..they don’t dance just to perfect the choreography, they don’t sing just to do their parts and hit the notes, they don’t rap just to say in your face “hey! yo-what’s up?!-im cool-i have swagger and the attitude-you feel me baby?!”..definitely not..they just have it..undeniable talent and charisma, and that makes it easier to convey their message across, fans felt it, fans loveed it..even Alist celebrities and fellow idols respect these girls so well, fearless foursome indeed..have you seen any rookie group being favored and recognized this much?…tbh, when 2ne1 started, im not really a biased fan, these girls just grew on me, their songs grew on me, their image grew on me..their individual differences adds also to the flavor, adoring and watching them makes you crave for something more, not just because of YG’s brilliant promotional strategies but because these girls are adorable in real life and fierce on stage. .everytime they perform, i get their message, and im feeling them, they perform with emotions, they give their 101%, i have never seen a group with so much intensity and drive while on stage, they own it, they bring it, they consistently bring it..i dont know about kpop before, until 2ne1 came..good thing also that I also happened to appreciate the industry and likes other kpop artists as well..but 2ne1 will be my forever love ;)..sorry for the long post.
