Popular actor and singer, Lee Seung Gi is best remembered for his stint in popular drama, “Shining Inheritance,” is now pursuing another drama, “My Girl Friend Is A Nine-Tailed Fox“. (Uhm, in the original article, the title is “My Forbidden Girl Friend” or something like that. But AKP reported this title, so I’m going with it.)
This drama is almost on the verge of confirming Lee Seung Gi for its main actor. With the Hong sisters on the helm, many TV fans are already expecting a masterpiece because of their previous works.
High Kick Through the Roof actress, Shin Se Kyung, is a strong candidate for the said drama, in fact, a lot of netizens and fans are really interested in anticipating her for the role.
But while no one is named for the role of the female lead just yet, netizens are also saying that 2NE1 member, Sandara Park would fit the role well also. Because of her previous acting experiences, Sandara can also be a valid candidate. But her schedule for 2NE1’s impending comeback may not be accommodating for the idol.
The drama is scheduled to begin shooting in May.

i love the idea of dara and LSG team up..i just dont know why ive been wishing this for sometime before dara’s tv guesting in strong heart..apart from 2ne1 and bigbang, LSG is my fave actor and singer.so when the rumor came out couple of weeks ago, i found myself so excited, it was like a dream come true, lol. however sometimes we have to check the fact that 2ne1 is soon to be back and definitely the girls would be very busy, sigh, right project for a wrong time. but who knows since it is not confirmed yet, i wish for the best.

but then again there will be promotions of their upcoming album so it’s really up to yg if they are willing to share dara in the drama at the same time doing live shows and promotions….

I have this buggin suspicion that the Hong sisters watched 2NE1 TV and got the inspiration for the female character from Sandy that’s why they floated the idea that they wanted it to be her in the role as early as last year.
I’m sure that 2NE1 TV was part of their research for the “You’re Beautiful” script.

As much as I wanted DARA to act, I’d rather have her focus on the group first. Just my opinion, though 2ne1 is really fierce, there’s a great competition out there and for one that there are lots of artist making a comeback. For sure, they won’t just take it easy even if they are the scary rookies right? So I think ,2ne1 will be working so hard. I just want DARA to focus her efforts in singing first hehe….but I know PAPA YG has plans of their solo exposure. So DARA acting is not far from reality..but not now..maybe after the promotion of the new album ends?

i agree with u. As much as i want to see Dara in acting, i think now isn’t good time. Dara unnie should concentrate on practicing for 2NE1’s coming back soon. Many big stars will comeback this April, our girls will have to face tough competitors =.= really really tough! I don’t want to see antis bashing Dara unnie’s vocal and comparing her to the rest members of 2NE1 😦 It really hurt! and this nine-tailed fox has been an on-going rumor in DC2NE1 since january i think… and it was also posted in LSG’s soompi thread that Dara would be the lead actress in this drama…but the hong sisters or the production at that time, i think, released a statement that casting for the said drama hasnt been finalized yet…
then there was an article that came out that the producers of step up korean version wants dara in their film and then YG released a statement that there were actually a lot of drama/movie offers for sandara … and they are selecting which one would suit dara best (i think.. haha.. i forgot what the article said)…
and when news about the Star Interview of Dara first came out, i wondered what’s up with Dara that she’s having a solo star interview… Daesung also has a series of star interview and as we know, he has a new show coming up. so i thought maybe dara would star in a drama too…

you know guys, after Lee Seung Gi confirmed that he will be the main actor in the said drama, i actually thought that Dara will be the main actress because the article in akp said the the lead girl is fresh and new so i automatically thought about Dara but after the work i went to akp again, a saw about the article that Shin will be the main role.. i was heart broken but then again, im keeping my fingers cross because it is not yet confirm yet..
