Oh Dara, why my post been removed? i’ve never said any foul words nor cursed anyone? i just voiced my opinion on how YG planned 2NE1 comeback. and most of the comments here are just similar to what i wrote.
you know what really makes me mad? the fact that after 2 unbearably long years, 2ne1 finally makes a proper comeback and YG just puts together a half-assed one.
two years ago, stormed the world with IATB – elaborate futuristic set with fancy cars the girls decked in gareth pugh, and louboutins. they created an entire ghetto set for Ugly. they made an effort to be in the forefront of kpop – the acoustic quality of Lonely, the anime mtv for Hate You, the rock influence in Ugly. A year later when they came out with ILY, it was fresh and sexy and the mtv was something out the pages of a fashion magazine.
i love FIL and DYLM. but i wonder if it is also because i LOVE 2ne1. but these two tracks were clearly meant to be released last year and hence what could have been fresh last year is now slightly outdated. and then there are the videos. YG can send GD to london for like a week to film his new mv and here are the girls dancing on a fake beach backdrop? this amazing renowned directly suddenly gets double booked so the girls have to film their mv with handheld cameras? i bet the cost of both videos combined are still half of what was spent on CL’s GZB! and don’t even try with excuses of time constraints or unforeseen circumstances. the girls were on hiatus for months! a little foresight and forward planning could come in handy here, YG.
i’m sorry if i come across as a angsty YG anti here – because i’m not. i am an ardent YG stan. i’m just really disappointed that the company isn’t channeling sufficient resources to their number two income source (maybe 3, now that psy has gone viral, idk) and one korea’s most popular girl group.
that said, with this comeback 2ne1 has really proven that they are a force to be reckoned with. they challenged critics who said they can’t dance by taking on more challenging choreography while singing live without missing a beat. they took on the ‘home video’ project that everyone, even fans, were skeptical of and made it reminiscent of 2ne1tv and made us want to be there partying with them.
right now, i’m trying to give YG the benefit of the doubt and hoping they are building up anticipation with FIL and DYLM before bringing us the climax of this 4 month comeback promotions. these girls deserve the absolute best and seeing the lukewarm responses to their new singles despite how hard they are busting their asses really breaks my heart.

I totally agree with you…. I’m so very disappointed with YG…for the past weeks…all I can see is all about GD and CL…YG don’t promote 2ne1…they don’t care…sorry to tell you this…when I saw GD’s birthday party pictures i’m kinda sick of it

Yes, that’s true. I wish that time when their popularity are all equal. Now that GD is much popular, he lost his YG siblings. I can see GD now, not Kwong Jiyong, the happy and pure Jiyong. You can see it in his smiles and look. I can see on his bday pics that he is not that happy. Just my opinion….

There’s another type of trolling employed by antis, it’s called rumor-mongering. They plant rumors to manipulate negative reactions from fans. Don’t readily believe unverifiable sources. It is easy to hide behind a username and create havoc. Do not take part in the spread of the rumor by speculating and generalizing against other’s biases. You’ll be playing under their trap. Sometimes a no reaction is the best reaction you can make. Be a mature, intelligent, and classy Blackjack. Be patient. If any of these rumors are true, it will eventually reveal itself.
You make perfect sense. Haters/trolls/antis/rumor mongering are people who live to make trouble. I’m sure other fandoms are mostly good people like us. But like us, they are some that are crazy. Then they are those who claim to be from a fandom to cause fandom wars. Sandara Stark, I second all that has been said. Life is too short. Lets just support Dara and 2NE1. We will be their strength when its storming around us. And actually, the more popular the group the more hate comes their way. Dara, CL, Bom and Minzy will rise above all the muck and continue to be the awesome women they are!

My only conclusion about exo fans bashing 2NE1 cuz they r jelous cuz their idols r fanboys of 2NE1, you can’t blame why a lot of idols guy group likes 2NE1 cuz they r unique,beautiful in and out ,very stylist and very down 2 earth if they r really fans they should also love whoever their idols like instead of bashing them.

Yes. They are in awesome terms. 🙂 Its pretty obvious that Dara and CL both adore each other. If Dara looks sad or if you think there’s something wrong, its personal to her. Its not good to speculate and spread rumors. 🙂

Congratulations to 2NE1 for getting 2nd place! For me, seeing 2NE1 performing is one of the best gifts. I hope they’ll be active for many, many years to come! Looking forward to their future performances and for the monthly single they’ll be releasing. So excited! I’m literally crying right now TT I’m aware as a blackjack and daraling that 2ne1 and dara herself is facing a trial right now.. BUT still, their performance was fantastic as ever and dara was sooo beautiful<3 you guys saw it, right? :') 2ne1 might not be the most popular group because of lack of promotion, BUT THEY ARE DEFINITELY THE BEST!! They may not win, but who cares? I’m kind of annoy with 2NE1 not winning. 2NE1 is already worse off by not having a physical album and they are hardly on tv so they already have less point to start with. If 2NE1 was to ever win they would need the public to like their song and it’s difficult to do now because there are so many groups (and songs). To be honest I feel that the latest 2 songs by 2NE1 aren’t all that unique anymore. I feel as though something is missing. Anyway 2NE1 did a fantastic job today but I just want them to get the attention they deserve and more love from YG. With Seungri making a comeback next week I doubt 2NE1 will get much spotlight. *sigh*..
its seems yg become more greedy each time pass, how many artist they have now?? how many comeback they do?? its not like 2010 – 2011 they focus to one and give thier best. im afraid that 2ne1 will be neglected bcs too many other artis. if its big bang its may not really shaken them bcs they have 2nd largest fandom in korea but not with 2ne1.
I blame YG for 2ne1 lost. YG should just release the album as usual. Why he want to use different strategy for 2NE1, i dont know and dont understand! What i see now is, its hard for the girls to win because of no album sales. But the girls will always be my no.1.
