If I may add my two cents in, I’m not really sure that singing is Dara’s true or rather only passion and love. I think she loves to perform and there are other outlets, acting for example where she can still shine as a performer. Personally, and by Dara’s own accounts, it seems she really wants to branch out into the acting world, and as a fan I would like to see that happen for her, just like how TOP of Bigbang juggles both acting and music. As far as Dara’s exposure in comparison to the other 2NE1 members, particularly CL since you mentioned her, I think it really all depends on the type of activity that they’re into or promoting. Recently, we’ve been seeing a lot of CL because she has been invited to participate in high profile fashion shows, model in photo shoots with her designer friends like Jeremy Scott and be asked to collaborate on joint performances. She’s also been getting a lot of attention because she is on Instagram. Dara has also been receiving attention too on her twitter where she has almost a million followers and for her CLIO ad campaign. Remember, Dara is the only member who has an exclusive makeup campaign which in itself is a lot of exposure. As for CL, she hasn’t released any solo projects either, only collaborations. I don’t think any one member is receiving more attention or overshadowing another, just that they are being promoted in different realms. For example, Dara for her face and personality in her CLIO campaign and CL for her fashion and musical style. With all that said, I really want Dara to get the opportunities to shine and showcase her talents more whether it be in acting, singing, modeling , etc. All the 2NE1 members are multi-talented and I want all of them to have their opportunities to shine, together as a group and in their own individual projects.
