G-Dragon got really sick while he was preparing for his concert in Seoul. He went to the hospital and got an IV before the concert because they would rehearse into the night coupled with the cold weather.
After G-Dragon’s concert on March 30, he asked 2NE1 to be guests for the concert on the 31st so he can get some rest in between while 2NE1 is performing. CL asked 2NE1 to perform on behalf of GD. Dara initially had a schedule on 31st March, but decided to be the guest for GD therefore canceling her trip. Dara was supposed to be in the Philippines to support MBLAQ’s concert.

The concert of MBLAQ IS CANCELLED, they already posted the news at the concert venue. My friend told me that there is no definite date yet for the concert and they are giving refunds already. In twitter there are some fans that blames dara for being the reason of the cancellation of the concert. Let us correct those wrong accussations to dara!
I understand now why YG/GD chose 2ne1 and not the other artist.. the live band(?) and the stage director are the same people who work for NE concert.. so 2ne1 is the best choice as they don’t need more time to rehearse given the urgency of the situation..
Hi! but to tell you honestly, I really don’t know what would I feel about helping a friend who is sick… Dara always help every YG artist whether they are sick or not…. Its just that Its very hard to be DARA, cause all YG artist count on her since she is the most supportive member of YG.. BUT what if she has personal or family thing and we know that her FAMILY is very important to her, what will she do?? she’s been a very big help with her fellow YG artist.. But in times like this family thing the question is that… is YG family also willing to understand her..

-As a friend, do you think she should abandon her friend when he needs help?

Can people just calm down and stop overreacting? Honestly, I’m surprised that this announcement has resulted in such divisive and negative comments. Dara and 2NE1 are stepping up for GD, their friend/labelmate and whether or not some people like it, the decision has been made so just be supportive like Dara is in this case. I’m fans of both 2NE1 and Big Bang and of course Dara, and all this finger pointing and they owe her, that this is unfair, blah blah blah is fruitless and just breeds negativity and resentment. Let’s look forward to and enjoy 2NE1’s performance and hope for Dara’s sake that she may still have the chance to support her brother in MBLAQ’s concert in the Philippines.

Dara is helping GD yes true! But I think people here forgot that all 2ne1 members will be there too! Im sure other members sacrificed too just to accommodate GD’s request and its ALL ABOUT WORK but since Dara was announced to be at MBLAQ concert theyve issued a statement to lessen the misunderstandings or other speculations why Dara attended GD’s concert rather than MBLAQs. Dara will perform as 2NE1’s Dara not Sandara Park who is a noona of Thunder. Again Dara is just that professional.
In a perfect world, let MBLAQ cover for 2ne1 in GD’s concert, then 2ne1 perform a song in MBLAQ’s concert. LOL That should make all fandoms happy 😛

I guess this is something to do with Dara not being able to go because the promoters promised Dara to be there for the fans to come.

I agree with you. The thing is fans show their true colors when things change not to their liking. The entire concert seemed rushed to begin with. Heck I was blindsided with the sudden announcement that they’re flying to PH, then add the fact that the format of the concert kept changing.
And I find it annoying that the promoters had to publicized DARA and her family’s arrival for MBLAQ’s concert. Although it was expected that she will fly here, I’m sure Dara would’ve preferred if the spotlight is on MBLAQ rather than herself. She never gave hint on her own SNS accounts that she’s gonna fly here, it came from the promoters, and she never admitted it till the last minute when she had to cancel. Can you imagine the additional logistics and security that the promoters will have to secure in order to protect Dara too, not to mention YG has to send his own team for her too.
Then blame it to the promoters for banking on DARA’s apperance rather than MBLAQ’s.

I didn’t intend to collect negative comments from Daralings. I bet Dara was pissed because of this sudden change in her schedule. If I was in her position, I’d be upset not going to my brother’s concert just because of work but it seems that fate is on her side since MBLAQ’s concert is postponed for tomorrow. Hope Dara can still attend.
