YG Entertainment has apologized over 2NE1’s recent comeback stage.
After 2NE1’s comeback stage on SBS’ Inkigayo for the group’s new single I Love You was met with strong criticism for its use of live animals during the performance, YG Entertainment has issued an apology.
The July 8 comeback stage for 2NE1 utilized a live parrot and swans for the group’s comeback stage which was met with fierce debate.
However, YG Entertainment finally spoke up about the issue saying, “We enlisted the help of animal trainers and other animal experts and did the stage performance with their consultation. If our efforts to create a good performance brought discomfort to viewers we apologize. We will focus on being more careful in the future.”

(sigh) if they think it’s animal cruelty, how about not including live animals in MVs, Photo shoots, movies, or probably even in the zoo since they are also easily “stressed by the light (and cameras) and loud music/noise”?!?!?!

The issue about their comeback stage is just nonsense!! Those people who criticise them are just jealous and small minded!! Committing Animal cruelty??? How dare u say that!! YG got animal EXPERTS with them…we’re talking about EXPERTS HERE EXPERTS!!!..arrrgghh..people these days are so ignorant and dumb the effect of too much jealousy they really need to consult ‘EXPERTS’ to deal with them.. “LET THEM HATERS SIT AND STARE”

maybe those people are more expert ( if there’s a term like that) than the animal experts present in the set that time.

Actually…i skipped the intro part and enjoyed the rest… i don’t know…i just had mixed feeling about it…but i think it’s a learning process for them too…2NE1 still gonna be great…to be great performer always come with obstacle too…FIGHTING!!! ^^

I knew this would happen when I saw the animals on the stage. This would happen to any group in places that have animal welfare if they use animals with flashy light and loud music. I thought the stage was super cool but the animals weren’t really necessary.
I knew this would happen too, yeah, the stage was superb, the performance was awesome..
but, of course there are people who will see the stage production negatively coz of those live animals. (like PETA, and other non-governmnt org.)
