I don’t think he’s being disloyal. I have to disagree with what you said that if Taehwan really likes her then he should publicly woo Dara.
It’s not like he crossed off Dara as his ideal girl. I think he’s just laying low for a while. Like what jetsetter said, whenever the topic about gfs are mentioned, he would be immediately asked about Dara – and this might pressure Dara. He is, after all, a Korean Olympic medalist and is loved by public.
It’s true that I’ll be happy if he still shows his admiration towards her PUBLICLY so we’re updated with what’s happening. But as much as I love to spazz, I’d prefer that he pursue Dara privately. It would look more sincere that way. It’s not like they both needed some extra attention or worse, a scandal that might even hinder their friendship.

I think so too. I was surprise why people here felt so violated and betrayed. The guy has a life if Dara doesn’t reciprocate his feelings, he has every right to like another girl.
I have to commend him for saying that “he doesn’t want to burden Dara”. That only means that he is being respectful to Dara, he doesn’t want to pressure he in liking him back.

Since they are both public figures, it would be burdensome for Dara if he kept on declaring his feelings for her in interviews for all the public to hear and see (harsh reality of being a celebrity).
I think he just doesn’t want Dara to feel the pressure of reciprocating his feelings.
I wasn’t offended with what he said. I find it even admirable that he’s willing to wait for her. With his good connections in YG who knows, right? He might be pursuing her off cam.
