I don’t think there’s wrong with some of the peeps here sort-of complaining / simple ranting about Dara’s small parts in the IT HURTS song, it’s not as if we’re bashing the other girls. I like 2NE1 but Sandara Park is my LOVE in the Korean Scene, even in the Flip scene. With all honesty, I’m anticipating more on the MV rather than the live stage — that’s how biased I am LOL.
To simply put it, this is a Sandara Park fansite not 2NE1’s. It’s okay for Sandara fans to speak their minds/ concerns here, after all this place is dedicated to her and for the fans who genuinely love her.

Yes, I think it’s Ok to post your concerns here but I read the same posts in other forums too, and it’s like a spark that triggers other people to pick on Dara instead of just commenting on the song. That’s why I didn’t write this in other forums and just here because I think this is a “private” matter, and I think YG’s peace offering to Dara’s fans is this MV ^ ^

Do you really think that by being quiet that there will be less people talking about her? And why are you calling Dara fans behavior childish in a Dara site? You are not a fan of Dara so you do not understand how we feel and do not even try. You come here with your preachy attitude and expect us to bow to you? Try being sympathetic and mature and see the situation in our eyes.
in defense to annabanana , she is just stating her observation on other sites which in fact quite truthful in a way …and she is no preaching other fans to do this or not …i mean its prerogative of one fan whatever she likes to state her opinion or not …but then we have to also learn that no matter how we comment we are bringing the whole community of fans in our name and comment … sadly as it seems, people tend to judge and generalized so to avoid fanwars or rather bring a peaceful fandom we tend to avoid such …. in end i know all of us guys just want to see the MV and anxious of it that we tend our emotion to overrule …Dara and the rest of the girls will do well both the MV and the live stages so let just pray for their follow-up track that it will indeed do well which I know it will …. ^^ ohhhhh cant wait !!!!
Do you really think that people are not able to see the disparity in the singing lines? Are you assuming that people are stupid not to notice? Even if fans do not talk about it, other people have eyes and ears to see what is happening. You are demeaning the intelligence of other people to actually see what the real situation is. I do not get why you are so adamant about not allowing us to talk about something so OBVIOUS that is staring at your face. You cannot hide it or sweep it under the rug because if is right in front of you. What is so wrong with discussing it openly when it is already out there?

@ scarletcryssie Thank you, I for one do not comment or reply most of the time just to avoid arguments among Dara fans, but after reading posts from different forums, I’ve observed that every time someone brings that issue to spotlight, the other girls’ fans become defensive (and gives opportunity to the trolls) and would talk about how CYH was Dara bias, and that she’s always hogging the spotlight – mvs, cfs, etc. And would go on talking about her abilities, so you see, by keep on bringing this out to the open, Dara’s name get dragged down and down, and there’s really no way to win. The talk would now more on her ability than the song.
I was actually hoping for Love is Ouch, or another song, but since this song has already been decided, I believe that we cannot do anything but just support them as a group. The success of 2ne1 is also Dara’s success. Yg surely have known about Dara’s fans dissatisfaction regarding the line distribution, and that’s why made her do the lead role for the MV, even there are also a few people saying Dara again? How about Minzy and Bom? Anyway, you cannot please everybody.
My point is let’s try not to create a spark, because it won’t be us who will get attacked personally but Dara. I’m not saying we have to be timid, I always come to Dara’s defense every time I read a not.so.good comment about her, but I just want us to choose our battles.
Again, sorry for the long post I just don’t want to be misunderstood and be labeled as someone who doesn’t “genuinely love Dara”, because I’m one of Dara’s biggest fans, and I want her to be loved by many.

From your comment, I see that you do not believe in Dara`s singing skills and are unable to defend her from the attacks of others. You are not a Dara fan. I rest my case. 😦
And who are you to decide whether I’m a fan or not? and for your information I first became a 2ne1 fan after I heard them cover We Belong Together, and it was Dara’s voice that caught my attention. Although Bom was the original one, it was Dara’s interpretation that I fell in love with. That’s how I started checking on her, and also with 2ne1. Also, the reason why I don’t want her fans to keep on bringing this issue to spotlight, and other people jumping on it is because Dara reads online messages, and the more you bring it out the more she’ll read messages bashing her. When Dara gets the most screen time, you’d say “it’s so Dara bias I love it”, but you have to remember that Dara is loved by most people because of her kindness. I’m sure she doesn’t want to hog the spotlight, and always show her support whenever a member has an important activity, just like when CL got the lead role.
And how are you really going to stop her attackers? by being aggressive, acting selfish or cocky? I always write on how I love her sweet voice, it’s so refreshing, and how graceful and sexy when she dances. When I write that, I’m also hoping that those bashing her would also see what I see on Dara. But that’s all I can do, most of it is up to Dara, and that’s what she did during the comeback. She showed how much she improved by performing more confidently on stage, and that actually have shut majority of her attackers up, if you compare the bashing she got during their debut.
Anyway, that’s only my opinion, and obviously you can do whatever you want. You can keep posting the same issue on other forums like on AKP or Youtube, and let’s see what will happen, it’s like throwing a piece of meat in water full of piranhas, others will make a feast of it, but ask yourself who’s being attacked, you or Dara, and will it solve the issue?

Dara is the lead role and her conterpart for the guy role is a close friend of GD… hmmm? have you guys notice I’m not spazzing or something I’m just curious that After Lee Minho and Jung Il Woo no other guys who can pair with our Goddess Dara if it’s not close to GD… first Taeyang and now another friend… something We have to dicover and her sister Dami loves Dara in a secret way… she’s not pointing it out that she’s focusing on Dara bu Pictures are much explanable than anything else….Observe People!

As much as I love to see Dara with more lines, I’d still watch with so much anticipation their live performances. I love Dara, but I also love 2ne1, and if we want Dara to continue enjoying her success we should make sure that 2ne1 will stay successful. Dara would have been leading a different path to success without 2ne1, so I hope we have to set aside our childish behavior, and support the group as much as we can. And please don’t go around forums posting how much you don’t like the song because Dara has only few lines, it will only ignite fan wars and it hurts me to read people picking on Dara. All in all Dara has the 2nd most parts in the whole album, it’s just so happened that It Hurts is a song that’s different from their last 3, and would showcase best the group’s vocal capability.

I like your post. But we can’t blame others right? Like me who loves Dara can’t bare seeing her standing and waiting for her short lines but the song is really nice even Dara has short lines because at the end of the song she gave the best and fresh voice that suits the song.

No other versions are released yet. Well, for now, we don’t know if there is actually a more upbeat version of “It Hurts”. Only the one included in their album. 🙂
