i was suddenly reminded of a picture of dara when she was in high school. it was posted by allkpop a few months back. i think she was also donning the same hairstyle – the braided pigtails. i hope someone can find it and make a comparison or something. i think they will still look exactly the same! dara never ages! lol

same as the main picture in deshi’s post “photos: dara’s high school life”? uhmn, i believe it wasn’t taken during sandy’s pasay chung hua academy days but during one of her “mmk: scrapbook (the sandara park story)” shooting days at adventist university of the philippines. hmm, here’s a video to somehow prove it:
nonetheless, i think dara’s braids in the “sbs gayo daejeon” taping was more childish compared to the ones she sported in the “mmk” shooting. also, they remind me of britney spears’ in her “baby, one more time” mv. i wasn’t crazy about them at first but then i guess they go with the uniform so i’m beginning to like them. (and let’s just be happy that the stylists didn’t make her go a la pippi longstocking. they should save the fictional character’s hairstyle for occasions that call for it.) =/

i guess the stylists wanted the girls to have different hairstyles. and/or maybe they wanted cl to look older, bom to look younger, dara to look… younger than she already does (hehe, and she’s the only one who can pull off just about any hairdo, as in from shaven head to crazy coiffures, with that oh-so-beautiful face of hers), and minzy to look… like she almost always does? (uhmn, maybe you should grow your “mane” long, sweetie. you’ll probably look cuter that way. plus, you should enjoy your youth.) but i think the usually funky 2ne1 should have broken the “dress code” in executing the catholic schoolgirl concept, opting for a more rebellious take on the preppy costume(s), as that would help project their “bad” image better. =/
i kinda change my mind. i’m now also okay with their somewhat prim and proper student look. besides, they should somehow care about being good role models to fellow youngsters and, at least, we get to see them take a break from donning crazy costumes sporadically. =>
