Dara, with her new hairstyle, attended the premiere of “The Russian Novel” earlier.
The second installment of Shin Yeonsik’s middle-aged romance trilogy unfolds like a tragic Russian novel, in a visual monochrome with understated audio. A writer, who had lapsed into unconsciousness at the age of 27, miraculously regains consciousness after a 27-year coma and wakes to a world where he is a literary sensation, a prestige writer representing the period. The book, THE RUSSIAN NOVEL, has earned him legendary status. It just so happens he did not write the book. In a reflective scene near the end of the film a character explains the basics of the Russian novel: long, complicated and so many characters. The same can be said of the film. It has a relatively long running time of 2 hours and 20 minutes and a complicated narrative structure, unfolding in order. There are so many characters in the film that it’s impossible to remember them all. Although long, it is never boring; complicated, certainly, but never difficult; and packed characters, yes, but never to the point of distracting.

The movie has a real interesting synopsis. A middle-age romance trilogy. Is it a love story about grandparents? A somewhat modern twist to the classic Rip Van Winkle story. It must be a tragic love story. He “forgot” about her for 27 years. Suddenly “woke up” but things have changed. She has changed and moved on. He hangs on but what good will it do? He is/was from the very beginning a fraud.
Correction. “Really” instead of “real”. Although, that can be use also. Haha
I pray that Dara will achieve her dream of being a notable actress.
I kinda miss this look of hers. I’m actually love this! It gives me back the feeling of the badass Dara type. ❤

I love the crazy hair style, and her clothes, u rock girl! I don’t care if this is a premier or what so ever, she look great! I use to wear those clothes too, and I’m already 26 and a married woman with a child, but I feel com4table. Sometimes people say “oh! U don’t need to wear those clothes, it’s a trash! Ur designer is sucks!” the he’ll with that! Y don’t u make ur self a designer or a fashionista if u think that u r a better person?

i just like how badass she is. she doesn’t care whatever she wears as long as she’s comfortable. I just hate it when people blame it on stylist only when im pretty sure dara can say no if she doesn’t like it, she is not that type of person who cannot decide for herself. i really think she looks just fine without having to be in a pretty dress as long as she’s comfortable while watching the movie.
I think her hairstyle is like that to hide her real hairstyle which is for the comeback, maybe. just guessing since CL also got new hair.
So the outfit’s like that to match the braided hairstyle.
Anyway, yeah, i also wish she wore a dress, but she still looks super fantastic! It’s amazing how beautiful she is! Wow!~

I’m happy that her aura looks genuinely, and marvelously happy! The eyes don’t lie. They sparkle and look bright. The smile don’t lie. It makes you smile back. Whatever she’s having, I want one, too! Haha Happy women are the most beautiful women. And a happy smile their best accessory.

I don’t even know where to begin….Dara is almost 30 years old…I know she looks young and all but would it hurt them to put her in a more appropriate clothes for her age and body. Even just a little…just a little bit please. Perhaps a jean a simple top with a crop jacket and a stiletto’s will do??
Whoever stylist put this goddess in that outfit and style her hair like that should be ashamed to call her/him self a stylist. A great stylist should know when to and when not to put the cray – cray on. There is something we call fun, hip and modern but this outfit screams horror! Oh My Gosh yeah we get it Dara is the one who wears the crazy stuff but tooooooo much craziness is not fashionable nor pleasing to the eyes at all.
Age is just a number. If she can pull it off why not? Technically Dara is still 28!
Its not a matter of whether she can pull it off or not, we all know she always does. Its more of knowing what is the appropriate clothes and style to wear and not to wear to an event like that.
